REIC Rentals deployed two Solar Hybrid Light Towers to a Fort McMurray mine on a trial basis. These units were monitored closely throughout March using REIC Rentals’ DSE remote monitoring platform, which tracked engine runtime and fuel consumption.
The collected data was then analyzed and compared against the projected performance of conventional LED and metal halide light towers operating under the same conditions.
The analysis revealed significant cost savings when using REIC Rentals’ Solar Hybrid Light Towers. Monthly savings ranged from $1,106 to $2,858 per light tower, depending on whether daily labor costs for manually turning conventional towers on and off were included.
