Location: Texas
Industry: Construction
Equipment: 8 JetHeat Units, Temporary Solar Hybrid Light Towers
A multi-story construction project in Texas required consistent heating across large floor plates measuring approximately 100,000 square feet per level. The general contractor initially relied on a conventional rental heater previously used on other projects, but it failed to deliver adequate heat, particularly to the upper floors.
Low static pressure prevented warm air from reaching the third and fourth floors, resulting in temperatures falling below specification. As interior finish work began to fall behind schedule, the contractor faced growing concern that temperature-related delays would impact project timelines.
Contact REIC Rentals to Learn More About JetHeat Units for Construction Projects
Recalling positive experiences with JetHeat technology on a previous project, the site superintendent contacted REIC Rentals for support. Responding quickly, REIC Rentals delivered and set up four JetHeat units, which were operational shortly after arrival.
Once running, the JetHeat units immediately achieved the required temperatures. Their high static pressure effectively distributed heated air across multiple floors—including areas where previous heaters had failed to maintain conditions.
Following the initial success, the contractor requested four additional JetHeat units for a second building on the project. All units were positioned outside the structures, with temporary ducting and polytubing delivering heat throughout the interior.
Given the presence of wood framing and millwork, maintaining precise temperatures was critical. The JetHeat units consistently met project specifications, providing stable, even heat across all required areas.
The JetHeat units remained on site from January through spring. As seasonal conditions changed, REIC Rentals was asked to provide summer climate control, delivering a combination of cooling and dehumidification to maintain specified dew points.
The following winter, the contractor selected REIC Rentals from the outset—requesting JetHeat units well before cold weather arrived. I0n addition to climate control, the contractor also chose REIC Rentals’ Solar Hybrid Light Towers for site lighting. Reduced labor requirements and fuel savings made the integrated heating and lighting solution an easy decision.
By delivering reliable performance across multiple seasons, REIC Rentals helped the contractor maintain the schedule, protect sensitive materials, and ensure consistent working conditions throughout the project lifecycle.
