With dozens of light towers deployed across the job site, personnel had to manually turn each unit on every evening and shut them down each morning. In addition, there was no way to track runtime, monitor performance, or collect operational data. REIC Rentals was contacted by the project’s general contractor to introduce an alternative solution. A live equipment demo was arranged, including a remote demonstration for both the contractor and building owner executives.
The demo showcased how REIC Rentals’ Solar Hybrid Light Towers could be started and stopped remotely, scheduled to operate automatically, and monitored through detailed reporting. The system provided real-time visibility into unit performance, engine runtime, and overall site lighting operations.
Following the demo, the decision was made to deploy 60 Solar Hybrid Light Towers to the site. Shortly thereafter, an additional 20 portable lighting units were added as construction expanded.
Automated scheduling and remote control eliminated the need for daily manual operation, resulting in immediate labor savings. At the same time, advanced monitoring tools allowed the project team to track performance data across all units.
