The Solution 

The contractor partnered with REIC Rentals to develop a comprehensive project heating plan, with a primary focus on minimizing downtime. Maximizing heater uptime was essential to keeping the project on schedule. 

REIC Rentals mobilized a fleet of portable flameless JetHeat heaters to the site and implemented a customized service plan designed to ensure uninterrupted operation. This plan included: 

  • Rotational deployment of trained service technicians on site 
  • Professional equipment setup as required 
  • Regular proactive service inspections 
  • Immediate response to any failures or performance issues 

 

Throughout the heating season, REIC Rentals’ technicians remained fully engaged on site—diagnosing potential issues, performing preventive maintenance, and resolving problems promptly. 

By maintaining an on-site inventory of critical spare parts and leveraging the modular design of the REIC Rentals JetHeat heaters, any component could be replaced in under two hours. This approach played a key role in maximizing uptime. 

 

The Results 

REIC Rentals’ flexible on-site service model resulted in a significant reduction in downtime. Over the course of the project, the heaters accumulated approximately 30,000 combined operating hours and were taken offline only a handful of times. 

Using data from remote monitoring software, the total downtime across all heaters was calculated to be just 0.38%. Even during extreme cold conditions, the contractor experienced no heat-related disruptions or quality issues on site.
