CASE STUDY | Construction Project in the Midwest

Heating 3 Million Square Feet with JetHeat Units and 24/7 Service

Location: Midwest, USA
Industry: Construction
Equipment: 41 Flameless JetHeat Units

The Challenge

large-scale construction project in the Midwest required reliable interior heating during winter conditions. With a floor plan spanning more than 3 million square feet, maintaining consistent indoor temperatures presented a significant challenge.

The general contractors initially relied on conventional heater lines typically used on smaller projects. However, due to the size of the structure, these heaters were unable to deliver sufficient heat or push warm air deep into the interior—putting construction schedules and worker comfort at risk.

The Solution

After initial discussions, REIC Rentals brought a JetHeat unit to the site for a live demonstration. The unit was positioned outside the building, with temporary ducting extending more than 100 feet into the interior.

The results were immediate. Temperatures at the outlet exceeded expectations, and the unit’s high static pressure maintained strong airflow even at extended distances. This confirmed the JetHeat unit’s ability to effectively heat large interior spaces, leading the contractor to move forward with the solution.

The Results

Within one week of the demonstration, 29 JetHeat units were deployed around the perimeter of the building. Following safety training and site orientation, REIC Rentals’ technicians completed full setup and startup of the units without issue.

All JetHeat units remained outside the structure, delivering hot air through temporary openings and ducting to multiple interior zones. Shortly after installation, an extreme cold snap moved through the region. Despite the severe conditions, the JetHeat units successfully maintained the required interior temperatures.

As construction progressed, additional areas required temperature control. The contractor requested 12 additional JetHeat units, bringing the total to 41 units operating on site.

The Outcome

To support uninterrupted operations, REIC Rentals provided on-site technical support during all working hours, with 24/7 availability for any JetHeat-related issues. This service commitment ensured maximum uptime throughout the winter construction period.

The project began in the fall and continued through winter into spring, with REIC Rentals’ JetHeat technology and service support delivering consistent, reliable heating across one of the largest active construction sites in the region.
